Opal Doris McQueen, age 81, of Pleasanton, Kan., passed away on Sunday, Dec. 4, 2022, in Pittsburg, Kan. She was born the daughter of Clyde and Opal (Rush) Chappell, on Jan. 5, 1941, at Kansas City, Kan.

Opal married Martin McQueen on Nov. 19, 1955, he preceded her in death in 2008.  Opal loved doing puzzles, reading and doing needlepoint. She also enjoyed watching television and the Kansas City Chiefs. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a daughter, Linda Rios; four brothers, Cecil, Clyde, John and Eddie Chappell. 

Opal is survived by three sons, Martin, William and Steven McQueen; two brothers, Bobby and Carl Chappell; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
