Patricia “Pat” K. Roche, age 70, of Louisburg, Kan., passed away March 27, 2017, at St. Luke’s South Hospital in Overland Park, Kan. She was born in Springfield, Mo., on Jan. 11, 1947, the daughter of Martin and Ruby (Reeves) Walsh.
She was united in marriage on Sept. 2, 1967, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Joplin, Mo.
Pat graduated from Joplin Senior High School, Joplin, Mo., with the class of 1965.
She was a homemaker, staying home and raising her family. She then went to work as a para educator for the Prairie View school system before retiring. She loved making crafts, painting and crocheting and was very talented at writing poetry. She enjoyed cooking and caring for others and being around her family. She was a born again Christian and loved sharing Christ with others and giving back as an organ donor.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband Victor of the home; one daughter, Teresa (Leonard) Cianciotto, Houston, Texas; one son, Marty Roche, Wichita, Kan.; one sister, Kathy (John) Hunt, Overland Park; three grandchildren, Addy, Gabby and Manny; and one brother-in-law, Frank (Sharon) Roche, Joplin.
The funeral service was held on Friday, March 31, 2017. Burial was to be in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Louisburg.
The family suggests contributions to Victor Roche for the Patricia K. Roche Art Scholarship, Prairie View High School.
