Pauline W. Duenkel, 72, resident of Fulton, Kan., died Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015, at Mercy Hospital of Fort Scott, Kan. She was born Oct. 2, 1942, in Sikeston, Mo., the daughter of Jake and Ida Singleton Ward.
She married Larry Duenkel May 31, 1974, in Jefferson City, Mo. He preceded her in death July 27, 2004.
Pauline traveled to Missouri high schools teaching vocational skills. She later delivered newspapers, including the Kansas City Star, for many years. She loved spending time outside gardening, especially roses. Her dogs were also very important to her.
Survivors include two daughters, Pam Dock and Trish Dock; two sons, Shane Duenkel and Jay Duenkel; one brother, Leo Ward; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Paul “Buddy” Duenkel and Michael Dock; and two sisters, Bonnie Marcella Buchanan and Martha Jane Thomas.
There was cremation. The family received friends Saturday, Sept. 5, at Fox Run in Fulton, Kan.
