Peggy Yvonne Dunavan, 66, Hartley, Texas, died at her home on Thursday, Nov. 13, 2014.
The daughter of Owen and Julia Pearl “Judy” Dunavan, she was born Dec. 2, 1947, at Mound City, Kan.
Peggy attended Pittsburg State University and traveled to many countries. She lived in California, Wisconsin, Kansas and then moved to Hartley, Texas, to be closer to family.
Survivors include a son, Wilbur Owen “Will” Dunavan and wife Katie (Griggs) of Clayton, N.M.; two grandchildren, Cotton Owen Dunavan and Josey Pearl Dunavan; two sisters, Patty Stude, Copeland, Kan., and Debi Umphenour, Pleasanton, Kan.; her father, Owen Stites Dunavan of Mound City.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Judy Dunavan; and grandson Clancy Dunavan.
A memorial service will be held at the community building in Hartley, Texas on Wednesday, Nov. 19, at 6 p.m., CST. Burial will be at the Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Mound City, Kan.
