Formerly of La Cygne, Kan., Raul “Paul” Montes passed away on May 28, 2018, in Oakley, Calif. He was born on Sept. 13, 1935, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He was a proud Air
Force veteran.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life, wife Ruby. He is now resting high on the mountain with his true love.
Surviving are his sons, Paul Montes Jr. and Johnny Montes and wife Christine of Oakley; two grandchildren; one great grandson; sister Sarita Feliciano,Wichita, Kan.; two brothers, Puerto Rico; sister-in-law Mary Cummins (Gary) and niece Lorri Bales of La Cygne and niece Lisa Maliff, Parker, Colo.; and good friend Ronnie Hepner, Overland Park, Kan.
“One of the best men on this Earth has been called home.”
Visitation for Raul “Paul” Montes will be held at 12:30 p.m. June 4, 2018, at Davis Funeral Home at 531 Shawnee St. in Leavenworth, Kan. Following will be the burial at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
