Rebecca S. Landers, 60, wife of Troy Landers, passed away Friday, April 18, 2025, at the Horton House in Fort Scott, Kan. She was born Dec. 30, 1964, in Ottawa, Kan., the daughter of Maurice Edward Zimmerman and Sarah Ellen (Bearly) Zimmerman. She married Troy Dale Landers on Oct. 27, 2008, and he survives of the home.
Rebecca grew up in La Cygne, Kan., and graduated from Fort Scott Community College, and Pittsburg State University. She was an accountant, and prior to retiring, she was a Senior Accountant for Johnson County.
In addition to her husband Troy, Rebecca is also survived by her sons, Sean Hubbard of Kansas City, Kan., and Kevin Hubbard (Christen) of Paola, Kan.; her brothers, Roger Zimmerman (Paula) of Florida, and Mark Zimmerman (Debi) of Paola, Kan.; a sister, Frankie Brewer (Jim) of Louisburg, Kansas, and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Following cremation, the family will have a celebration of life at a later date. Services are under the direction of the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home, 15 W. Wall St., P.O. Box 309, Fort Scott, Kan., 66701. Friends and family may sign the online guest book and share memories at www.konantzcheney.com.
