Rickie Gene Catron, age 68, of Pleasanton, Kan., passed away Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2020, in Overland Park, Kan. Rickie was born the son of Carl Gene and Opal Venita Burnett Catron on Jan. 12, 1952, at Kansas City, Kan.
He married Ann Boyer on Dec. 31, 1976, in Kansas City, Kan. To this union two daughters were born, Julie and Regina.
He was employed by the Shawnee Mission school district for 32 years, also the Pleasanton school district for another 10 years. Rickie enjoyed being in the garage and working on antique cars; he also enjoyed riding motorcycles.
Rickie was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Steve; and a sister, Linda.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters; two sisters, Brenda James and Debra Stroble; seven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Funeral service was Monday, Jan. 20, 2020, at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel. Burial followed in the Hume Cemetery.
