Robert “Bobby” Aguilera Ruiz, age 62, Pleasanton, Kan., passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2017, at his home in Pleasanton. He was born on Jan. 11, 1955, at Kansas City, Mo., the son of Santo Macias and Josephine Aguilera Ruiz.
He worked as a nuclear medical technician at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
He married his longtime companion Carol Sue Sutton on Feb. 14, 2017.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, Santos.
He is survived by his wife Carol; two daughters, Rebecca Marquez and Christy Rodriguez; two stepsons, Jeff Fawcette and Brian Lewis; a stepdaughter, Kristen Staton; three brothers, Santos Jr., Bernie and Richard Ruiz; a sister, Stella Ruiz; and 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Saturday, December 23, 2017, at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel.
