Robert Eugene Coppage, 86, of Pittsburg, Kan., formerly of Pleasanton, Kan., died Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at his home in Pittsburg.

He was born Aug. 25, 1929, in Pleasanton, the son of Quinton and Rosa (Rittinghouse) Coppage.

Bob grew up in and around the Pleasanton area before moving to the Long Beach, Calif., area.

He was a retired inspector working for Robert Shaw Controls.

Survivors include two sons Larry Coppage of Boulder Creek, Calif., and Roger Coppage of Hopeland, Calif.; a sister Elsie Lucille Staton of Frontenac, Kan.; a brother-in-law Sheldon Stoughton of Pleasanton and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a special friend Evelyn Christine Linville; two brothers Paul and Fred Coppage; and a sister Dorothy Stoughton.

According to his wishes Bob has been taken for cremation. Memorial graveside services and inurnment will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 2, 2016, at the Pleasanton City Cemetery in Pleasanton, Kan.
