Roger Lynn Wurtz , age 60, born April 8, 1957, in Topeka, Kan., passed away June 4, 2017, in LaConia, New Hampshire, with his loving wife Donna Wurtz by his side after a long battle with prostate cancer.
Roger had been self employed most of his life doing remodeling and construction, along with many other business ventures.
He is survived by his wife Donna Wurtz of Laconia; his son Benjamin Wurtz and wife Sarah of Killeen, Texas; his daughter Katelynn Wurtz of Palm Coast, Fla.; parents Bob and Coleta Wurtz of Spring Hill, Fla.; brother Robert Wurtz and wife Cindy of Ocala, Fla.; sisters Anita Trank of Winter Haven, Fla.; and Angela Horn and husband Mark of Lakeland, Fla.; stepsons Daryl McGrath of Lake Wales, Fla., Kevin McGrath and wife Jenny of Lake Wales, and Michael Pablon and wife Mandi of Valrico, Fla.; and stepdaughter Shannon Miller and husband Jeff of Meredith, N.H. He was Grandpa Roger to 12 much-loved grandchildren as well as having many uncles, an aunt, cousins, nephews and nieces.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Dwight Smith and Faith Smith Randall of Mound City, Kan.; and Benjamin and Viola Wurtz of Pleasanton, Kan.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
