RosaLee Annis, age 92, of Mound City, Kan., passed away at her home on Friday, Nov. 17, 2017. RosaLee was born Aug. 27, 1925, the daughter of Berl Forest and Edna Jane Heintzman Harris in Kansas City, Kan.
In 1945, she married Charles Peter Annis in California; they later moved to Kansas City. Upon leaving Kansas City, they built a house in La Cygne and later moved to Mound City. Charles preceded her in death in December 1999.
RosaLee was an incredibly talented artist, crafter and an avid deer hunter. Over the years RosaLee was a teacher’s aide in the Mound City schools, worked as an office assistant at Crown Realty, volunteered with hospice and was also very active with the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary in Mound City.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Gaschen.
RosaLee is survived by a son, Berl Annis; a daughter, Mary Jane Hedtke; two sisters, Lois Kramer and Violet Miller; five grandchildren, Sabina, Lindsay, Shelley, Belinda and Annette; and eight great-grandchildren, Ashton, Ayla, Brooke, Kyle, Alexis, Adaline, William and Clara.
There will be a visitation at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 26, 2017, at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Mound City Chapel.
