Sharon K. Peppinger, 67, of Rich Hill, Mo., passed away Feb. 13, 2016, at Bates County Memorial Hospital in Butler, Mo. 

Sharon Kay McCoy Peppinger was born March 15, 1948 in Toppenish, Wash., to Charles and Minnie (Noah) McCoy. She worked for Chef Ready for many years and sold Avon. Sharon attended the Church of the Nazarene in Pleasanton, Kan. She loved to fish, crochet, play cards, listen to her country music and keep up with friends and family through her computer.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Jean Purdy, Charles McCoy, Harlan McCoy, Pansy Purdy, and June White. She is survived by her daughters and their families, Anita Rookstool of Othello, Wash., Tammy Deal of Hume, Mo., Genny Kees of Fontana, Kan., and Karen Peppinger of Kansas City, Kan., adopted daughters, Beth Lane of Marcus, Wash., and Margie Miller of Pleasanton; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; siblings, Zola McCoy of Orchard, Neb., Donald McCoy of Grandview, Wash., Bob McCoy and Ruby Tackett both of Zillah, Wash. 

 

Cremation with graveside services 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, in Benjamin Cemetery, Amoret, Mo. Contributions are suggested to Benjamin Cemetery. Services under the direction of the Mullinax Funeral Home of Butler (660-679-0009). Messages of condolence may be left for the family at www.mullinaxfuneralhome.com.
