Sherri Marie Crane, age 55, Hume, Mo., passed away Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2024, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Mo. Sherri was born on March 28, 1969, to Gerald Bogan and Sharon Swink Bogan in Fort Scott, Kan. She was the youngest of four children. She grew up and attended school in Hume, Mo. Sherri was united in marriage to Charles "Reb" Crane on Oct. 20, 1990. The couple had one daughter, Tashina Marie. Growing up, Sherri liked helping her dad on the farm, playing basketball, riding horses, and hanging with her friends, especially her friend Anne. Later, Sherri worked at Silverline, the State Hospital in Nevada, Mo. She became an LPN and worked at the Nevada VA Clinic for the last sixteen years. Sherri enjoyed being at home spending time with family, especially her grandchildren, riding horses when she could, and watching and "coaching" the Chiefs Football games on television.

She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Bogan, and two brothers, Timothy Gene and Brett Loy Bogan. Sherri is survived by her husband, Reb; daughter, Tashina Marie Crane; five grandsons, Dakota, Brettley, Skylar, Zyrek, and Riot; mother, Sharon Bogan; one sister, Meda Kay Wisdom (Harry); and many nieces and nephews, whom she adored.  

Visitation will be held 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18, 2024, at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel. Sherri will be laid to rest at a later date. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Sherri Crane Memorial Fund. Online condolences can be left at www.schneiderfunerals.com.

Nobodys wins Blue Mound co-ed softball tournament

The team called Nobodys wins the Blue Mound 4th of July co-ed softball tournament on July 5. This year the tournament consisted of eight teams. The Nobodys is Keith Morrell’s team and has been a part of the softball tournament since it started three years ago.

Pleasanton 12-14 baseball wins championship

The Pleasanton 12-14 baseball team wins their league tournament on June 30 to July 1. Pleasanton hosted the tournament and won in the championship against La Cygne 11-7.
