Terry Lee Burris, 51, of Mound City, Kan., died on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2015, after a courageous battle with leukemia. Terry was born in Jackson County, Mo., on Dec. 12, 1963, to Carl Edwin and Leota Vondell (Adams) Burris.
He worked as a roofer. Terry was a man who enjoyed being outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, riding his 4-wheeler, camping and canoeing. But his favorite activity was swimming with his kids.
Terry was preceded in death by his father; three brothers Joseph Burris, Steven Burris and Jimmy Burris; and one sister Christine Burris.
Terry is survived by his wife, Ashley Burris, of the home; two sons Nicholas Kelly and Jack Kelly; three daughters Ashley Burris, Rowan Burris and Haylie Kelly; his mother, Leota Burris; and two brothers Carl Burris and Allen Burris.
Terry was cremated according to his wishes. A private family memorial service will take place at a later date. Friends and family may leave online condolences at www.schneiderfunerals.com. Arrangements: Schneider Funeral Home & Crematory, Mound City Chapel.
