Vera “Christine” Tuggle, 86, of Cave City, Ark., died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2015, at her home. She was born June 5, 1929, at Red Bay, Ala., to Henry David and Nona Mae Walley Lindley. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church at Cave City.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas Gerald Tuggle; two sons, Rickey Tuggle and Jerry Tuggle; three sisters, infant sister, Mary Ethel Lindley, Veta Mae Heard and twin sister, Imogene Johnson; two brothers, Curnie Lindley and Johnie Lindley; an infant grandson, Joseph Tuggle and a granddaughter, Angela Rotton.
Survivors include two sons, Tommy Tuggle and wife Karen of Mound City, Kan., and Randall Tuggle of Lake Village; two daughters, Kathy Livingston of Atlanta, Ga., and Christy Rotton of Cave City; nine grandchildren, Ashley Allen and Dawn Sims both of Atlanta, Ga., Ginger Mahoney and Zachery Sims both of Mississippi, Christopher Rotton and fiancé Hillary McKoin of Fayetteville, Rebecca Johnson and husband Andrew of Deerfield, Mo., Nathan Tuggle and wife Dani of Tallulah, La., Randy Tuggle and wife Patricia of Lake Village, Alicia Bell and husband Justin of Blytheville; 11 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were Friday, Oct. 2, 2015, at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City with Bro. Ron Canard and Bro. Bobby Sanders officiating. Burial followed in the Parsley Cemetery located east of Cave City with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Randy Tuggle, Nathan Tuggle, Christopher Rotton, Zachery Sims, Andrew Johnson and Justin Bell.
Honorary Pallbearers were Jim Brown and Dr. Lackey Moody.
