Vickie Lynn Daggett, age 70, formerly of Pleasanton, Kan., passed away on Monday, Feb. 21, 2022. She was born on March 19, 1951, in Pleasanton, Kan., the daughter of Charles and Dorothy Weems Daggett.
One of her proudest achievements was the 16 years she spent volunteering at the Pleasanton Senior Citizen Center. Here she developed lifelong friendships and was known for her wonderful smile and willingness to help others. She also enjoyed being a part of Tri-Ko, Anderson County Assoc. for M.R. Citizens and the Iola Senior Citizens Center. Throughout her youth Vickie participated in both The Kennedy Foundation and Lakemary Center Special Olympics where she received multiple first and second place recognitions over the years.
She loved Elvis Presley, putting together puzzles and spending time with her sister, Sharon.
Vickie was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Carla Daggett and Sharon Daggett Smith; and a great-nephew, Donald. Vickie is survived by three nephews, Darren Lowe (Jennifer), Brian Lowe (Nicole) and Dustin Lowe; a niece, Angelena Howell (J.C.); 14 great-nieces and great-nephews; and Jesse Smith (of the late Sharon Daggett Smith).
The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at Medicalodges Fort Scott, for the love and care shown to Vickie during her time at their facility.
Funeral service will be 10 am Saturday, February 26, 2022 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel. Burial in the Pleasanton Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 am to service time at the Chapel. Vickie will lie in state Friday, February 25 for respects and guest registry. Nobodys wins Blue Mound co-ed softball tournament

The team called Nobodys wins the Blue Mound 4th of July co-ed softball tournament on July 5. This year the tournament consisted of eight teams. The Nobodys is Keith Morrell’s team and has been a part of the softball tournament since it started three years ago.
Pleasanton 12-14 baseball wins championship

The Pleasanton 12-14 baseball team wins their league tournament on June 30 to July 1. Pleasanton hosted the tournament and won in the championship against La Cygne 11-7.
