Willa Mae (Jackson) Jones lived to be ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­75 years, 5 months, and 16 days. She was born in Vernon County, Mo., on Jan. 30, 1947.

She was predeceased by her parents, Willis and Naoma (White) Jackson; sister, Zo Ann Moore; brother, Brad Jackson; and three daughters, Julie Brown, Kimberley Nave, and Cindi Smith.

She is survived by her husband Paul W. Jones, Sr., of the home; sister, Mary Alice Jeserick of Kansas City, Mo.; and two children, Paul W. Jones, Jr., and Virgilena Mae Shriver (Chip). She also leaves behind to cherish her memory ten grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and three great- great-grandchildren.

Willa and Paul were married for 56 years and lived in Mound City, Kan. She retired from Deluxe Checks after almost 20 years of service as a binding operator. Prior employment included Textron Aviation Service in Wellington, Kan.

Willa was a member of the Mine Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Pleasanton, Kan., and was baptized in Little Sugar Creek, Mound City, Kan. Willa attended the Mound City United Methodist Church and enjoyed participating in the women’s Bible study group.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 89 South Mine Creek Dr. Mound City, Kan. 66056 beginning at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 19, 2022. The inurnment service will be at Prescott Cemetery, Prescott, Kan., on Saturday, Aug. 6, 2022, at 11 a.m. 

The family suggests contributions in Willa's memory to Mine Creek Missionary Baptist Church or Mound City United Methodist Church in care of Schneider Funeral Home, P.O. Box J, Mound City, Kan. 66056.
