William Allen "Bill" Shadden, age 75, Mound City, Kan., passed away on Wednesday Aug. 18, 2021. He was born on Feb. 13, 1946, in Fort Scott, Kan., the son of Floyd and Mary Gruver Shadden. He was united in marriage to Fanchion Joles on Oct. 5, 1964, in Fort Scott. He owned and operated Shadden Septic Tank Cleaning. Bill was a member of the Grace Baptist Church. He enjoyed stock car racing and NASCAR. He liked to play cards and collect guns and knives. He was preceded in death by a son, Allen Shadden; his parents; five brothers, Floyd, Lyle, Harry, Raland, and Gary Shadden; two sisters, Pauline Plain and Evelyn Reardon; and one great-grandchild, Luna Archer. Bill is survived by his wife, Fanchion; a sister, Viola Rittinghouse; two granddaughters, Kylie Archer (Zach) and Emily Johnson (Clint); and four great-grandchildren, Cooper and Piper Johnson, and Torben and Octavius Archer.  

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, 2021, at the Mound City First Baptist Church. Burial in the Woodland Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 10 a.m. to service at the Church.
