Council members for the city of Blue Mound met on Monday, July 3, for their regular monthly meeting. 

It was noted that two new sewer manholes and parts were ready to be picked up in Nevada, Mo., and would be picked up within the next few days.

City Clerk Max Krull informed the council that the water grant application had been sent to KDHE the previous week. He warned them that if awarded, there was no set amount on how much the city would receive. 

In other business, Krull noted milling work had been completed on some streets, but others still need work. He also noted that sewage dumping was working well.

Council members discussed the shooting area at the lake. It was determined that the city was not liable for any damages occurred if anyone hunts there, and it is okay for individuals to hunt/shoot at the discussed area.

During the meeting, council members approved the following: minutes of the previous meeting; payment of bills in the amount of $32,911.67; contract with Diehl Banwart Bolton for auditing services.
