The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) will install a drainpipe under K-31 in Linn County on Monday, Sept. 8. The project is designed to improve drainage and prevent highway deterioration.

The road will be closed south of Blue Mound between County Road 1077 and Colpetzer Road. The hope is to keep the closure to a single day.

KDOT urges motorists to stay alert and follow posted signs in all work zones. For current road conditions, visit kandrive.gov or call 511. For updates on construction projects in Southeast Kansas, visit ksdot.gov/projects/southeast-kansas-projects.
