My names is David Brenneman and I am running for La Cygne City Council.

1. Why are you running for school board?

I am running for La Cygne City Council because I feel like we need some new faces that can look at both sides of an issue and make the best choice for the income of the people in the city.

2) What do you hope to accomplish if elected to this position?

I hope that the city watches it’s spending and plan ahead for crisis, like the gas crisis last year. The city did make a good decision on the gas crisis. Also the low income people help made this city and make up a lot of the people in it. We need to make decisions in the things we do that won’t hurt them finically.  I’m one of them.

3) What skills and/or experience do you have that will aid you in this position?

I was a Chief Shop Steward and negotiator for Boil Makers Union. I also started the LaCygne Coalition a lot of years back, because we had a mayor that had gotten carried away on codes in town, we got a special election and the mayor was removed and the nuisance codes rewrote.

These are the responses received to our questions for this election.
