CITY OF MOUND CITY KANSAS – PUBLIC NOTICE
Grass and Weed Height Enforcement
The City of Mound City reminds all property owners and occupants that grass, weeds, and other vegetation must be maintained in accordance with city ordinance 591 stating that height limits not be above 6 inches in developed areas and above 12 inches in undeveloped areas.
Beginning June 29 2026, any property found in violation will result in a Certified Letter of Notice being sent to the property owner. Failure to comply within the time frame may result in further enforcement actions, including fines or city- initiated mowing at the owner’s expense.
