Wade Booth, age 70, pastor of the Pleasanton First Baptist Church , was arrested on Monday, Aug. 31 and booked into the Linn County Jail at approximately 7 p.m.
According to new information updated on the Linn County Jail inmate roster, Booth was arrested in connection with Unlawful sexual relations; Teacher with student =>16; Aggravated incest; Intercourse w/ bio/step/adoptive child - Aggravated incest; Lewd fondling with relative >16<18; Aggravated intimidation of witness/victim; Witness/victim < 18 YOA.
Booth is currently being held on a $750,000 bond in the Linn County Jail. He is scheduled for another court appearance on Sept. 15, 2026. A motion was filed by Linn County Attorney Justin Meeks requesting the affidavit(s) in the case be sealed; however no ruling has been made on that motion as of the posting of this article.
