The week of May 22 the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) expects to start a mill and overlay project on K-152. The 13-mile project begins at the junction with K-7 and continues east to U.S. 69.
Flaggers and a pilot car will guide one-lane traffic through the work zone during daylight hours; expect delays of 15 minutes or less. KDOT awarded the construction contract of $2.8 million to Superior Bowen Asphalt Company LLC, Kansas City, Missouri.
Weather permitting, the road work should be finished in July. Check KDOT’s updated traveler information website, www.kandrive.org, for more highway condition and construction details. Persons with questions may contact Construction Manager Ian Stringham at (785) 433-6116 or Public Affairs Manager Priscilla Petersen at (620) 902-6433.
