On 09-08-2025, Kevin W. Gatlin, Mound City, was traveling on 1150 Road near Knapp Road when the front driver side tire blew out, causing him to enter the left shoulder on the south side of the road. The vehicle then entered the ditch and struck a metal fence then he continued through a pasture approximately 130 feet. The vehicle then struck a second barbed wire fence and continued on through the fixed object approximately 127 feet where it came to rest. (Case 250873)

On 09-13-2025, Taylor F. Simons, Lees Summit, Mo., was traveling northward on US 69 Highway at approximately the 91-mile marker when she lost control of the vehicle and entered the median, striking a culvert in the median and overturning multiple times before stopping on its roof. The driver was transported by AMR to Overland Park Regional Hospital with possible injury, but was awake and alert. Vehicle was towed by Morse Towing. (Case 250896)

On 09-18-2025, Beverly J. Pennington, Centerville, was traveling westward on Kansas Highway 52 just west of Read Road when she struck a deer, causing sufficient damage to the whole front end of the vehicle. (Case 250925)

On 09-25-2025, Garrett H. P. Sipe, Mound City, was traveling eastward on Kansas Highway 52 just west of Tucker Road, when a deer entered the roadway. The driver was unable to avoid the deer, resulting in an accident. Causing damage to the front right bumper area and undercarriage. The vehicle was leaking transmission fluid and the owner was going to contact a tow company to have it towed. The driver was able to pull into a field entrance and was not a road hazard. On 09-26-2025, Melvin V. Hunt, Redfield, was traveling southward on US 69 Highway near milepost 84, when he fell asleep and the vehicle jumped through the median, ending up facing northward in the northbound lane. Passenger in front seat had possible back injury from the impact in the median. (Case 250964)

On 09-29-2025, Amanda B. Myers¸ Mound City, was traveling US 69 Highway near 1100 Road when her vehicle struck the back of a trailer driven by Thomas R. McManis, Mulberry. The trailer did not have lights and conditions were foggy. The impact caused severe damage to Myers’ vehicle, and minor injuries to Myers. (Case 250972)

On 10-02-2025, Caleb C. Sutterby, Blue Mound, was traveling northward on County Road 1077 at approximately 600 Road when a deer entered the roadway and struck the vehicle. (Case 250983)

On 10-03-2025, Ryan J. Stainbrook, Parker, was traveling southward on County Road 1077 near 1100 Road when a deer entered the roadway. The driver was unable to miss the deer, resulting in minor damage to the front bumper. (Case 250989)

On 10-05-2025, Curtis H. Cox, Pleasanton, was traveling southward on County Road 1095 when he exited the road onto Nickel Road, which is a gravel road. The driver hit a large pothole, causing him to lose control of his motorcycle, laying it down and being ejected from the motorcycle. Results were minor injuries to the driver and damages to the motorcycle. (Case 250992)

On 10-06-2025, Robert T. Craig, San Diego, Ca., was traveling southward on US 69 Highway near Kansas Highway 152 when they struck a deer standing in the roadway. Vehicle was operable with only cosmetic damage. (Case 251011)

On 10-10-2025, Johnithan L. Foster, Wellsville, was traveling northward on Kansas Highway 7 approximately a quarter mile south of the Miami County Line and struck a deer in Linn County, causing damage to the front driver’s side bumper. (Case 251021)

On 10-17-2025, Wendy J. Collier¸ Mound City, was traveling southward on Kansas Highway 7 near County Road 1095 when a deer entered the roadway and struck the front left corner of the vehicle, causing significant damage to the headlight and plastic. The driver stopped in a driveway and waited for a deputy to arrive to have a report made. The vehicle was able to be driven from the scene. (Case 251057)

On 10-20-2025, Teresa L. Riley, Garnett, was traveling westward on 2200 Road near Ayers Road when she struck a cow. This caused disabling damage to the whole front end and windshield of the vehicle. The vehicle was towed away from the scene. (Case 251070)

On 10-20-2025, James A. Mays, McCune, was traveling eastward on 300 Road when, just 50 feet west of the Paine Road intersection, he struck a deer in the roadway. The impact caused cosmetic damage and the vehicle was still operable. (Case 251071)
