(My apologies for missing this letter; that is the reason it's running on our website.)

The Linn County Planning and Zoning Commission will hear public comment on all recommended new zoning regulations tomorrow evening, April 27th at Prairie View High School, 7 PM.   And you need to be there.

I’m happy to report that these recommended regulations do not allow Wind turbines in Linn County. However if there are wind energy executives or lobbyists present, they will try to change the Commissions stand of no windmills, so please come tomorrow night.

A survey was sent out in September 2021, and a second one a little later, by the Comprehensive Planning Committee to the citizens of Linn County concerning the values of Linn County.  There were many good things about Linn County that were brought out in this survey but when the survey asked about windmills only 17% of Linn countians were in favor of wind turbine development.

The most important values unique to Linn County were Rural way of life, natural beauty, outdoor life style, caring for each other, and no windmills.

With the direction America is headed, it is good to live in Linn County where the county government listens to the people, as they have concerning windmills.

See you tomorrow night

Robert Tyson
