On June 22 at approximately 4:30 p.m. the Linn County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call of an armed robbery in progress at the Silver Creek Pharmacy located at 945 E. Market Street in La Cygne.
Law enforcement officers from the La Cygne Police Department, Linn Valley Police Department and the Linn County Sheriff's Office responded.
Through investigative measures and witness interviews, the La Cygne Police Department and Linn County Sheriff's Office quickly obtained leads regarding the robbery. Based on the leads it was determined the suspect vehicle and suspect may be in Pleasanton.
The Pleasanton Police Department assisted the La Cygne Police and Sheriff’s deputies by quickly locating the vehicle. After the vehicle was located, the location of the suspect was determined. Deputies and officers from Pleasanton and La Cygne were able to take the suspect into custody without incident.
The name of the suspect is being withheld until formal charges are complete.
