Council members for the city of Blue Mound met on Monday, May 1, for their regular monthly meeting.
City Clerk Max Krull noted Pastor Ben Bielenberg would like to volunteer his time to help with city mowing and other basic upkeep when needed. Council approved, noting the city would need a copy of his driver’s license for insurance purposes.
In other business, Krull informed the council he was waiting on Verizon to finish installing the dialer for the substation. He hopes to have it completed within the next week or two. Krull also stated that the water study is 75 percent done. The city will be reimbursed for the study, and will hopefully find grants once it is completed.
The council also approved the following items: minutes of the previous meeting; payment of bills in the amount of $31,503.96; and renewal of Certificate of Deposit No.1392.
