The council heard several condemnation cases in their opening condemnation hearing and approved pulling the Woodrum condemnation from the list as the owner had made big progress in getting the property cleaned up.
Councilman Lew Donelson said opening demolition bids for a property were postponed as the city lost one that had been dropped off. He said bids would be opened at the Oct. 10 meeting.
The council heard from engineer Paul Owings, BG Consultants, concerning the water tower and water distribution project; see separate story in this edition.
