Notes taken from the district notes of the board meeting

The board met in regular session on Dec. 12 and took action on the following items:

- Approved an update for the Wednesday/Saturday policy.

- Mandated activities will be finished by 7 p.m. on Wednesday nights at all school facilities. Tournaments, state sponsored activities per KSHSAA may be exempt per approval of the BOE. There will not be any Sunday participation in school facilities unless prior approval has been given by the BOE. 

- Approved an update for the cafeteria/ nutrition rules. Cafeteria staff can place the rules for the cafe on the bulletin board for all students to follow.  

- Accepted the resignation from Sydney Dent effective at the end of the 1st semester.

- Hired Jesse Secrest as mathematics instructor.

- Hired Ronnie Basore as a substitute driver/ rider for special education routes. 

-Approved extending Sara Conley’s contract one year to include the 23-24 school year. 

- Tabled a vote on Nathan Meik’s contract.
