Patsy A. Smith, age 81, Pleasanton, Kan., passed away on Monday, Nov. 12, 2018, at The Residencies at Pleasanton. She was born at Fort Scott, Kan., on Nov. 25, 1936, the daughter of Charles and Mildred Snider Smith.

She attended Green Valley School until the eighth grade. Patsy had a head injury at an early age causing developmental damage. This didn’t stop her from working at Tri-Ko, Inc., attending the Presbyterian Church, participating in Special Olympics or taking part in activities at The Residencies, such as Upper Room Prayer and Bible Study. She was a cat lover as well.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Patsy is survived by her brother, James D. Smith, and wife Belinda; and several nieces and nephews.  

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, 2018, at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel. Burial will be in the Pleasanton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to service time at the chapel.
