Pauline Lucinda Woody, 96, of Pleasanton, Kan., passed away Sunday, May 1, 2016, at her home. Pauline was born Jan. 13, 1920, in Calumet, Okla., to George W. and Lucinda (Harrison) Woody.

During her formative years, she lived in Lamar, Mo., and always considered Lamar as home. At the age of 13 she moved with her family to Bloomington, Ill. 

After Pauline graduated from high school, she attended Indianapolis (Ind.) Business College for two years. In 1954 she moved to Beverly Hills, Calif., where she made her home for the next 60 years. She worked in the movie industry as an accountant. She was also extremely active politically with the Republican Party. 

In May of 2014, Pauline moved to Pleasanton due to her declining health. 

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers, Merle, Freeman, Wayne, William, Arvan and Robert; and four sisters, Viola, Martha, Arvie and Alice.

She is survived by one sister, Nan Collins of Lovington, N.M.; and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2016, at the First Christian Church in Pleasanton. Pauline’s wishes were to be cremated and buried in Lake Cemetery, Lamar, Mo., with her family. 

The family suggests memorials to the cemetery. Donations may be mailed to Lake Cemetery, 201 W. 10th St., Lamar, MO 64759. Arrangements: Schneider Funeral Home & Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel.
