Rhonda Owens, 61, of Mound City, Kan., formerly of Spring Hill, Kan., passed away June 14, 2020, at her brother's house sleeping in peace. Even though she had a big heart, it just wouldn’t pump enough oxygen to her other organs so the good Lord figured it was time for her to spend eternity in heaven with the loved ones that went before her.

Rhonda was born on Oct. 6, 1958, in Brookfield, Mo., to Eldean and Donna (Gillispie) Bailey.

Survivors include her father, Eldean Bailey and stepmother Dorothy (Lingo) Bailey; her brother, Tommy Bailey and his wife Patricia; her daughter Jessica Owens; and a son, Jeremiah Owens, along with her ex-husband, Larry Owens; a nephew, James Bailey; and a niece, Jennifer Bailey.

She was preceded in death by her mother Donna Bailey; a sister, Erlinda Bailey; and son Joshua Owens. When that happened all too close together we believe the damage to her heart was done.

She graduated from the school of hard knocks and Mastered in 'Making you Laugh' and had a Bachelors in 'Getting Under Your Skin.' She was of Christian faith.

A Celebration of Life will be held at her brother's home, 323 Locust Street, Mound City, KS, 66056, on June 27, 2020. Any donations you would like to make can be mailed to said address or at the Celebration of Life. Food will be furnished. Come celebrate.
