PUBLIC NOTICE

LINN COUNTY, KANSAS PLANNING & ZONING BOARD 

 

Notice is hereby given that the regularly scheduled meeting of the Linn County Planning & Zoning Board on March 10, 2026 has been changed to a workshop session. The workshop will begin at 6 p.m.

 

Topics for discussion will include Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), feedlots and year-round camping. This workshop is for board discussion only and will not include public comment, however the public is welcome to attend. 

 

Further notice is given that the Linn County Planning & Zoning Board will hold a Special Meeting on March 31, 2026 at 7 p.m. During this meeting, the Board will consider the following applications:

 

• A Conditional Use Permit (CUP) request from Thomas Yoder to operate a custom butcher shop. 

 

• A rezoning application from C&C Properties & Land Management, owned by Carlee Campbell, requesting to rezone 7.21 acres from Agricultural (AG) to Countryside. 

 

• A rezoning application from Youthfront Camp, DBA Kansas City Youth for Christ, requesting to rezone 257.96 acres of AG land to Heavy Industrial. 

 

The March 31, 2026 Special Meeting will be open to the public, and all interested persons are encouraged to attend and provide comment.
