Joshua "Josh" Clyde Haynes, age 35, Pleasanton, Kan., passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2022, from injuries sustained while battling a fire as a Linn County Firefighter. 

He was born on March 5, 1987, in Nevada, Mo., the son of Eddie and Sandra Stephan Haynes. He graduated from Louisburg, Kan., High School in the Class of 2005. Josh was a member of the Linn County Rural Fire Department No. 1, Station 920. He enjoyed fishing, country music, cruising with his kids, dirt track racing in his car, number 41H, participating in the demolition derby in the 17Jr car, trying to play guitar and taking trips to Nashville.

Josh is survived by his parents, Eddie and Sandra Haynes; two sons, Blake and Easton Haynes; two daughters, Joslyn and Makayla Haynes; and two sisters, Virginia Haynes and her children, Ryan (Secilia), Telleah, Ashton, and Keelan, and Renea Marshall (Josh); numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends. 

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at the Pleasanton High School. Burial will be in the Pleasanton Cemetery. 

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at the Pleasanton High School. Memorial contributions are suggested to Josh Haynes Children's Memorial, c/o Schneider Funeral Home, P.O.
