On 12-25-22, Jody N. Russell, Mound City, was southbound on US 69 just north of mile marker 83 losing control on ice and crossed into the median and into the oncoming northbound lanes. The vehicle then overturned and entered the east ditch where it rested on its top. No injuries were reported. (Case 221179)
On 12-27-22, Eden Marie Coursen, La Cygne, was driving north and hit ice on the road. (Case 221183)
On 12-30-22, Unknown, a report was made by Daniel Gaikowski that two metal signs in front of his business at west Baptist Road and south Walnut Avenue were apparently run over by a vehicle. The tracks traveled west on Baptist Dr. to a residence owned by Michael and Mallory Page. Mrs. Page stated she did not know anything about it. There were no vehicles parked at the residence with matching tire tracks or damaged bumpers with yellow paint. There are no witnesses to the incident and there is no suspect vehicle at this time. On 12-30-22, William Kent Wade, La Cygne, was westbound on east 1150 Road when a deer jumped the fence and entered the roadway striking the vehicle and damaging the front bumper and hood area. (Case 221198)
On 1-1-23, Brady Taylor Wolff, Lake Winnebago, Mo., was northbound on US 69 and struck a deer. (Case 230002)
On 1-4-23, Zachary Tyler Ogden, Mound City, was northbound on Kansas Highway 7 and struck a deer. (Case 230008)
On 1-4-23, Scott Gerald Polster, Centerville, was traveling east on west 1700 Road just east of Hadsall Road when a deer entered the roadway and struck his vehicle. (Case 230010)
On 1-5-23, Natalie Nicole Umphenour, Mound City, was northbound on east 850 Road and struck a deer. (Case 230013)
On 1-11-23, David Jason Striegel, Pleasanton, was heading east on 1150 Road .2 miles east of Knapp Lane and went off the road to the right hitting a concrete bridge rail and overturned. Driver was removed from the vehicle by the Fire Department. (Case 223025)
On 1-11-23, Adison Randall, Mound City, was eastbound on K52 just west of Otto Lane when a deer entered the roadway and struck her vehicle. (Case 230027)
