On 12-08-22, Alejandro Javier Sonora, Redfield, Kan., was traveling north on Paine Road and lost control of vehicle stopping on the west side in the field by the road. (Case 221136)
On 12-12-22, Dirk Wayne Gardner, Mound City, was westbound on KS Highway 7 before west 1700 Road when a cow entered the roadway and struck his vehicle. (Case 221139)
On 12-13-22, Reva Wisdom, Mapleton, was traveling northbound on US 69 and rear ended Lauren Shea Earnest, Lawrence, who was driving approximately 40 mph due to a spare “donut” on her car, which caused her to lose control and spin clockwise 190 degrees coming to rest in the east ditch. Wisdom came to rest on the east shoulder. Both driver and passenger of vehicle two were transported by AMR with possible injuries. (Case 221146)
On 12-15-22, Rone Marie Hannah, Parker, was traveling south on 1077 Road south of west 2400 Road when a deer entered the roadway and struck her vehicle. (Case 221153)
On 12-16-22, Unknown, was traveling westbound and struck a guardrail then left the scene and did not report the accident. (Case 221154)
On 12-17-22, Brian Alan Burk, Blue Mound, was turning and did not see Ralph Wesley Krum, Mound City, who was stopped and ran into the back passenger corner. (Case 221157)
On 12-19-22, Carlos Antonio Sandoval Rivera, Kansas City, Kan., was driving down a driveway on 1300 Road and came upon a blind corner. At the same time, Craig Steven Gaetke, Overland Park, was driving northwest on the same driveway and struck each other on the front left side/headlight area. (Case 221161)
On 12-20-22, Ricky Kellenberger, Fort Scott, was traveling north on US 69 Highway at the 103 mile marker when an unknown motorist lost a bale of hay in the roadway. Driver was unable to avoid impact and damaged the undercarriage of his vehicle. The driver that lost the hay bale was not identified. (Case 221165)
On 12-23-22, Justin Daniel Rayburn, Madison, Kan., was driving east on Coronado Road too fast for the snowy conditions and slid into a tree, which stopped the vehicle from rolling down a steep embankment. The driver and passenger switched places prior to the officer arrival. Driver stated he was drinking prior to the crash. Both driver and passenger were transported to the hospital for injuries. (Case 221172)
On 12-23-22, Cordell Weber Self, Pleasanton, was traveling north and lost control of his vehicle and struck a power pole on the west side of the road. (Case 221173)
On 12-23-22, Alexander Schaffer, Richmond, Kan., was eastbound on 1350 Road approaching the railroad tracks at the intersection of 1350 and Thomas Road. Driver was traveling too fast for conditions and slid into a moving train as the brakes were applied. The vehicle was destroyed but driver was not injured. (Case 221175)
On 12-24-22, Coley Otto Atherton, Mound City, was traveling east when going around a curve lost control and struck a tree in the north ditch. (Case 221176)
