On 2-3-23, Zayden Ozzy Henkle, Pleasanton, backed out of a private drive into the right side of Alison Leann Welty, Overland Park, who was heading east on Main Street just each of Catalpa Street. (Case 230078)
On 2-7-23, David L. Ridge, Mound City, was attempting to exit a private drive when the driver inadvertently pressed on the accelerator instead of the brake. The vehicle drove through the yard, crossed the west ditch then crossed the road and struck a power pole where it came to rest in the east ditch. (Case 230087)
On 2-7-23, Hailey M. Reid, Prairie Village, was struck in the driver side bumper while parked in a parking stall and was in the building. Camera’s at the building recorded a red vehicle backing out of a stall into Reid’s vehicle and failed to stop and report the accident. The camera did not capture the license plate and type of vehicle. (Case 230088)
On 2-8-23, Jason E. Johnson, Joplin, was traveling east on 300 Road when a deer entered the roadway and struck his vehicle. (Case 230089)
On 2-12-23, Danette D. Pinedo, Joplin, reported she struck a deer at the intersection of West 600 Road and County Road 1077. Deer was reported to survive the crash and driver drove home. (Case 230104)
On 2-15-23, Ayoya Fay Bruns, Mound City, was traveling southbound in the northbound lane and swerved to the left to avoid another vehicle running into the east side ditch. (Case 230108)
On 2-16-23, Marlyn Estela Gandara-Sanchez, Mound City, was driving southwest on County Road 1095 and lost control due to icy conditions and struck a fence. (Case 230109)
